Earlier this year, Deion and Pilar Sanders’ marriage descended into scandal after their messy divorce proceedings induced a string of fights and allegations. In February, Pilar got into a hair-pulling, knife-brandishing fight with Deion’s aunt, Laura Jones; and in April, Pilar and a friend jumped Deion, resulting in misdemeanor assault charges for all involved, as well as arrest and overnight imprisonment for Pilar. As if that wasn’t enough, Pilar filed a $200 million lawsuit against Deion and his daughter, Deiondra, claiming the two had attacked her for years with “emotional weapons.” The couple has since gone their separate ways nonviolently.
