I’m going to tell you now: I will never be “here” for a break up between the President and First Lady. They are too important to the scope of marriage, especially when so many seem to be failing. No one believes they’re a perfect couple but they clearly work to make their relationship be the the very best it can. You ever go to a wedding and the person officiating asks the guests if they will help “watch over” the couple? That’s me when it comes to these two; I may not know them personally but I better not ever hear about some foolishness!

*ducks* I know, you want to disagree with me…hear me out first. I know to some they can seem like a really weird couple and you may not be surprised if they break up. But have you ever listened to anyone between the ages of, let’s say, 16 and 21, talk about them? They adore them and would really hate if it ended because Jay and Bey are their definition of a “cool” relationship. Have I redeemed myself? *wipes brow*
Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith
Long before Barack and Michelle Obama became our “guide” on a successful marriage, there was Will and Jada (yes, I know which couple has been married longer). Long before rumors of they alternative lifestyle swung our way, we loved them. Long before we got mad for how “grown” we think they let their children be, there was just the love we had for them. So ever since the divorce rumors started a few years, ago it has been a little hurtful. No matter what some may think about them, I truly believe that no one ever, EVER wants to see them breakup.
Denzel and Pauletta Washington
I can hear some of you now, “But don’t you know that he…” and “I heard that he…” Yes, I’ve heard it all before. That being said, Pauletta is still there, front and center, so I guess that’s all that counts. At this point, we don’t want them to break up; they’ve made it work for so very long!
Grant Hill & Tamia
These two are definitely high on my favorite couples list! They’ve been married for 13 years and for NBA players, that is a very long time. The only time we ever hear about them is when Tamia is gushing over Grant in one of her songs and that’s just the way we like it!

Bill & Camille Cosby
I know we don’t hear about them or see them much but it took some people time to realize that although Heathcliff and Claire weren’t real, Bill and Camille definitely were the real thing. We love them because they seem so comfortable with each other. We love them because they love giving back and giving a chance to a lot of young people who may not otherwise be so lucky. Someone please cue Alicia Keys’ “Unbreakable!”
