Common and Taraji P. Henson
You know, when I first heard about them being together a few years ago, I didn’t “get” it. Something about the pairing seemed a little odd to me but when I saw pictures of Common and Taraji together, I LOVED it. I say this and Common is my main boo so you know it had to be something. Doesn’t it seem like they should have been able to turn that into “something?” Who messed it up?! Quite frankly, I can see these two revisiting this relationship in the near future. If it happens, you heard it here first!

D Nice and Malinda Williams
You all have NO IDEA how into this relationship I was! I’m talking about googling updates about their relationship, reading Malinda’s “I’m Getting Married” blog and whatever else D-Nice would share on Twitter. I specifically remember when he posted a video of the two of them in Hawaii – when friends became lovers. They had a really nice wedding in New Jersey and then just like that *snaps finger* it was over. The courtship lasted longer than the marriage. I was really disappointed and I DEMAND to know what went wrong!

Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson
When these two got married, I thought it was kind of “weird” but just chalked it up to me side eyeing most “quickie” relationships. After a little while, I found myself liking Ryan and ScarJo (together, I mean, because ScarJo is a long time fave of mine); they seemed like a very laid-back couple who enjoyed just hanging with each other. Before you know it, they’re splitting up and to this day, they never quite said why. But judging from Ryan’s latest choice in a wife (he married Blake Lively a few weeks ago), I suspect it has something to do with him not knowing how to be alone for long. Yes, that’s just me assuming.

John Utendahl and Tyra Banks
Listen, Tyra had gone on The Wendy Williams Show just two weeks prior to their break-up and she was saying that they were discussing having children (and possibly, marriage) together. So to hear almost immediately that they’d broken up was kind of a shock. What happened and how did it happen so quickly that the split was so sudden? I loved them together.

Adam Rodriguez and Melanie Fiona
I’ve secretly been wanting Adam for myself since I first saw him on Ugly Betty years ago but then later I found out that he was dating Melanie Fiona, someone I also liked, and had to just concede to her (you like how I’m speaking as though I have a chance to even run into him, right?). But for some reason they broke up – to the surprise of many who didn’t even know they were together – and her second album seems to be all about him and the heartache he put her through. So it didn’t work out and we don’t know why but I’m left to wonder: would my love affair with him had ended any differently?

Common and Serena Williams
I had to add him again, this time with Serena Williams, because as much as I love him, maybe Common is the reason why none of the relationships have lasted. While many people seemed to have “jokes” on their physical appearance together, they were going on being happy. Common was even spotted at the U.S. Open showing support for his boo on more than one occasion. Sadly, they couldn’t make it work. But Common has never said anything negative about her and aside from her saying he wasn’t ready for the full commitment, Serena hasn’t said anything bad about him. At least we know there’s still some respect there.
