Finding the perfect variety of baby shower locations to choose from can be tricky and for those of you who want to go the extra mile we decided to put together a list of really cool and unique places to host your special day. Some of these may require a bit more ‘capital’ while others are quite simple and right in your backyard. Take a gander and give us your thoughts in the comments.

Baby Shower Locations: 10 Unique Places To Host Your Bash

Fancy Picnic  is just that — get your favorite folks together to celebrate the arrival of your bump along with decadent food, cool thank you gifts, beautiful tableware, and iPod station if not a live DJ and have a ball at your favorite park. It could even double up as a Family Reunion of sorts.

Rooftop Bar don’t often come to mind for a baby shower– but what better place to host a cool and chic event? You can even rent out the space and have them create MOCKTAILS for the Mom-to-be. Plus your photos will look absolutely breathtaking and if you get a space with a pool it can instantly become a pool party!!!

In case you’ve been living under a rock, the Daytime Brunch Party has quickly been replacing both the classic brunch and parties at night. Basically this is a full on party that takes place during the day over brunch– why not reserve a large table at your favorite spot– invite your girls and have a ball — all without having to plan anything yourself. Done and done:)

On A Boat, yes girl on a boat. Why not? It doesn’t even to go anywhere it can be docked, but you can totally book out a small space for your party, have it catered by the boat company, add a DJ and have a ball…literally dancing on water. I think an evening event would be lovely!

If you or your friend happens to love getting her Downward Dog and Om on then why not host the special day at a Swanky Yoga Studio? Friends can join in for fun or everyone can actually just do simple exercises, meditate and share stories with each other– you can even invite in a masseuse, light up some candles and have a soothing ball of bumplicious, Yogi fun!

Bowling Alley is a great alternative for the gal who loves to party– but can’t quite make it happen at a big trussed up event. This is also good for those who want to have unisex baby showers and invite kids. It’s a great team sport and many places you can rent your own private suite of lanes at an affordable price.

If you happen to love food and music then a Dinner Theater may be a great place to celebrate your impending motherhood. I love the idea of having an upscale dinner with entertainment already built in– you can exchange gifts before or after the show and have memories for life. Much better than hiring a clown or a stripper or hear yet another snoozy story from your aging aunt. LOL
