Surprisingly, the reality star has decided to whip off her wig, revealing her natural hair on her new spinoff show, “Dont Be Tardy For The Wedding.” With her decision to not use any hair enhancers, she has boosted ratings, caused much media buzz, and got us wondering who else should whip off their wigs and help us solve the mystery of what lies beneath.
Beyoncé
She is absolutely number one on my list! I definitely crown the R&B super star “queen of lace front wigs.” Bey has done it all! From curly to straight to bright blonde to black. Just name it and this woman has done it. Which makes us even more curious to see what her real hair really looks like.
Wendy Williams
She likes her wigs big, blonde and long! And as much as we would all love to see whats happening beneath this diva’s wig, Wendy told her audience members and viewers a few years back that her actual hair is pretty thin and that she prefers to wear her wigs for fullness and body.
Tamar
Besides her over the top makeup and personality, Tamar is known to be a devoted wearer of yaki weaves. And whats her favorite wig? You guessed it! The straight one, with bangs, and blonde highlights. According to Essence.com, the reality T.V star confessed, “I have become a slave to the wig and the weaves. I love the quickness and fullness.”
Nicki Minaj
She sports blonde dreads, cheetah print wigs and other faux hair do’s with colors from pretty much all the hues of the rainbow. This young money rapper’s over the top hair coif’s have become synonymous with her name and is also what keeps the media buzzing 24/7. Nicki without her funky wigs is like peanut butter without the jelly.
Niecy Nash
With her signature look of a flower piece styled to the side of her hair, Niecy loves to rock her long or medium black tresses in soft barrel curls.
Naomi Campbell
Who has ever seen the model without her wearing her faux tresses? Naomi has been wearing her long manes ever since she first strutted her stuff along the runway and it doesn’t seem like she will be letting go of it ever!
Ciara
According to an Essence.com article dating back to 2010, the R&B singer revealed her obsession with weave at an industry music party, admiting she simply couldn’t live without it. She states, “What would the world be like without some extra hair? It would be crazy! I need my extensions; I love the drama.” Could you imagine a world without the multi-billion dollar industry?
Tyra Banks
Remember when Tyra decided to finally reveal her real hair on her talk show? Well we loved it and wouldn’t mind her rocking it more often.
Vivica Fox
With her Vivica Fox Hair Collection hair line company and also appearing as a hair model her own products online, this diva has worn all types of weaves and extensions for her movie and television roles since the mid to late ’90s.
Lil’ Kim
Did you know the original Queen Bee has opened several hair salon’s called Salon Se Swa located in North Carolina? It shouldn’t be much of a surprise since Lil’ Kim seems to love having fun with own her hair, rocking all sorts of funky weaves and wigs. Who could forget her classic “Crush On You” video and her bright colorful wigs?
Brandy
Brandy and braids went hand in hand during her singing career and especially in her 90’s hit show Moesha. At some point, many people. myself included, were wondering would she ever let them go and change up her style. She finally did a few years ago and we were excited to see a more mature hairstyle on her… Although it doesn’t seem like she will be taking a break form both weaves and wigs any time soon, we will surely be waiting for the singer to rock your natural tresses!
Jennifer Hudson
While we watch the Weight Watchers spokeswoman embrace her amazing transformation, we also notice her embracing black long locks and wigs since her American Idol days. From the red carpet to her recent music videos Jennifer loves to flaunt her soft black or brown manes!
Remy Ma
Remember Remy Ma with her “Remy hair?” The rapper was not only known for her daring personality and attire, but also for her big blonde bangs and super long black artificial tresses. While she is still currently serving out an eight-year jail sentence for a run-in with the law, she finally revealed her natural hair during a rare on camera interview with Street Heat two years ago. We only wonder if she will rock her signature hair style or not once she is free.
