If you are worried about stressing out your hair, don’t mess with it as much. Do
hairstyles that don’t require a lot of heat or a lot of tugging. Also make sure
these styles can last awhile. Its nice to be able to have a low maintenance
style with your own hair that you don’t have to up-keep a lot.
Whether you are relaxed or natural, you can try out some of these styles:
Wet Sets/Roller Set: Doing styles that are textured generally last awhile. Sitting under
the dryer is less damaging than using a blow drier and it gives you sleek curls.
The results: curly hair that can last up to 2 weeks. The best news: your hair
looks better as the days go on.

Twist/braid outs: You can get a very defined curl/wave pattern with doing a
twist or braid out on wet hair. Use a moisturizing product before setting the twists or braids. The results:
Defined and textured hair. This can last up to 2 weeks. Great for transitioners too.

Braids/twists: This style can be time consuming but it lasts awhile. Doing two strand
twists or 3 strand braids is something we learned growing up. You can do them in
various sizes. Make sure they are a size you feel comfortable with to go out.

Bantu knot outs: Bantu knots are easy to do and they work with relaxed and
natural hair. You twist your hair into knots and let them set. When you take
them out, you have nice big beach waves. They are very easy at night and don’t
require messing with your hair a lot.
What are your go-to looks that give you up to two weeks of style?
