We’re all guilty of thinking some celebrities are our best friend in our heads. Just like any other good friend, we like to give our opinions whether they want to hear it or not. If we had our way, some of our favorite celebrity couples wouldn’t have broken up. They would’ve listened to Al Green and found a way to stay together.  Yes, all relationships have their faults, but in a perfect world, it could all be worked out.

Here are eight couples that we’d like to see give IT another shot.

Due to popular demand, Chilli and Usher have been added as a late addition. They were another popular pair we still have fond memories of.

Kanye West and Alexis Phifer

Kayne and the fashion designer started dating in 2002, broke up in 2004 and later became engaged only to break up for good in 2006. The truth of the matter is that Alexis kept ‘Ye all the way together. He still had his ways about him, but she tempered his worst instincts. He wasn’t that out there and she was one woman who he had on his arm that was looking at him rather than towards the cameras. Alexis walked in class while Kanye increasingly lacked self control. Her grace has extended beyond their breakup as she hasn’t spoken against him even while some of his other exes have kept his name on their lips.

Nas and Kelis

The former Mr. and Mrs. Jones were one of Hip Hop’s golden couples for a while there. He’s a respected MC and she’s an eclectic singer that lives outside the norm. Together, they did them and looked happy which is why it came as a shock that they were divorcing while Kelis was pregnant with their first child, Knight. Kelis banned Nas from the delivery room and took him for the paper but we still have memories of how they used to hold each other down.

Common and Serena Williams

The contentious rapper and the tennis pro dated on and off for two years. She blamed their busy schedules and Common not wanting to put the effort in to make it work, but judging by some of Ree’s tweets, it seems like she might want to give it another chance. She regularly hits him up on twitter while he has said that he’s looking for the right woman. The second time around just might be even better than the first.

Chanté Moore and Kenny Lattimore

Chanté Moore and Kenny Lattimore were married for 9 years when she announced that they were getting a divorce. This was one of those marriages that the streets thought were going to last. In Hollywood, anything past 72 days is a success. After it ended with Dwayne Wayne, we thought Chanté had a man at home for keeps.

J Lo and P. Diddy

Jenny from the Block and the Hip Hop mogul created the blueprint for rappers having the hottest chick on their arm. They oozed swag, confidence and didn’t have to chase the spotlight because the press came to them. Between arrests, his baby momma’s and plunging necklines, these two were a running telenova. It’s time for a sequel.

Rihanna and Drake

These two were boo’d up for a minute but it should’ve been much longer with the way that Drizzy talks about Rih. He’s either showering her with praise or possibly going in on her in lyrics which he was accused of doing in ‘No Lie’. Yes, he’s sensitive, but Drake’s also got another side to him and Rihanna has said more than once she likes a guy with edge. He’d drop nothing but love verses if she said his name again.

Halle Berry and Michael Ealy

After her divorce from Eric Benet, Halle rebounded into the arms of Michael Ealy. Unlike most of the men she dated in the past, Halle’s ‘Their eyes Were  Watching God’  co-star  hasn’t been accused of cheating or treating her badly. She’s never said a bad word about him and he went on the record to deny that she was crazy. These two would’ve made some cute babies. At the very least, given the stand up guy that Michael has shown himself to be, he wouldn’t be dragging Halle to court every other week and demanding $20K a month in order to pay his bills.

Usher and Chilli

Confessions is thus far Usher’s most successful album and may very well be his best but it was built on the ruins of his relationship with Chilli. He cheated, took her for granted and according to Chilli, he committed the ultimate no- no. She never specified what but Usher’s love life has taken more turns than a Tyler Perry plot since he split with the TLC singer. She’s been trying to find love on reality T.V. shows while he’s trying to keep his sanity as he battles his ex-wife over custody of their two kids. If only he had just listened to his mother.
