(CNN) —U.S. stocks were set for a moderately higher open Friday, ahead of reports on retail sales and consumer confidence. Dow Jones industrial average, Nasdaq and S&P 500 futures were all higher. Futures measure current index values against perceived future performance. U.S. stocks closed with a pop Thursday as euro-zone concerns eased. The Dow (INDU), the S&P 500 (SPX) and the Nasdaq (COMP) all added about 3%.
