Ingredients For Mustard Fried Chicken:
1/2 dried sage
2 tsp poultry seasoning
3/4 tsp black pepper
1 tsp salt
1/3 cup yellow mustard
4 cups of AP flour
2 to 3 quarts of vegetable oil
Method:
1. Fill a Dutch oven halfway with vegetable oil and place over high heat.
2. Season the chicken with dry spices (sage, salt, pepper, poultry seasoning). Then, coat the chicken with mustard.
3. Next, dredge all the chicken in the flour. Place chicken in oil and allow to cook for 10 to 15 minutes until chicken is golden brown.
4. Remove from the oil and set aside on a tray with a draining rack.

Tamar’s Dutch Oven Fried Cabbage Ingredients:
1 medium head of cabbage (sliced)
1 lb. of turkey bacon cut into one-inch pieces
1 medium onion diced
2 tsp onion powder
2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
Pinch cayenne pepper
1 tablespoon of olive oil
Method:
1. Place Dutch oven over medium-high heat and coat with olive oil.
2. Add the turkey bacon and onions, mix well, and allow to cook down for 3 to 5 minutes.
3. Next, add your sliced cabbage to the pot. Mix well, making sure the turkey bacon and onions are evenly mixed into the cabbage.
4. Season with the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper. Mix well. Allow cabbage to cook down for 5 to 10 minutes until tender, then serve along with chicken and biscuits.
Ms. E’s Cast Iron Fried Cabbage Ingredients:
1 lb. of smoked pork bacon cut into one-inch pieces
1 medium sliced red onion
1 medium diced green bell pepper
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
Method:
1. Place a cast iron pan over medium-high heat.
2. Add the pork bacon, onions, and peppers to the pan, mix well, and allow to cook down for 2-3 minutes.
3. Next, add your sliced cabbage to the pot. Mix well, making sure the bacon, onions, and peppers are evenly mixed into the cabbage.
4. Season with salt and pepper and mix well. Allow cabbage to cook down for 3 to 5 minutes until tender, then serve along with chicken and biscuits.
Ingredients For Big Boy Butter Milk Biscuits:
2 cups of self-rising flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup sugar
1 stick of butter (softened)
1 cup buttermilk
Method:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Pour flour in a bowl and add 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and 1/2 cup of sugar, and mix well.
3. Add the butter to the bowl and flour mixture and mix flour and butter together until it’s evenly mixed. (The mixture will have a clumpy/chunky consistency.)
4. Next, add half of the buttermilk and mix well until the batter becomes doughy and consistency.
5. Form dough into 3-inch biscuits, place on the parchment-paper-lined tray, and bake for 15 to 20 minutes.
