When our forever First Lady speaks, we listen! Michelle Obama will have our full undivided attention during her recently announced podcast, which she will host alongside her brother, Craig Robinson.

On March 10, Obama and Robinson confirmed they were joining forces for the podcast IMO with Michelle Obama and Craig Robinson, Deadline reported, with the Obamas producing the show through their Higher Ground media company.

The podcast will tackle a host of issues and welcome a variety of special guests with each weekly episode. “With everything going on in the world, we’re all looking for answers and people to turn to,” Obama said, per the outlet.

“My brother Craig and I launched the IMO podcast to create a space for people to come as they are, ask honest questions, give their opinions, and have thoughtful conversations about life. There is no single way to deal with the challenges we may be facing—whether it’s family, faith, or our personal relationships—but taking the time to open up and talk about these issues can provide hope,” the former First Lady continued.

In addition to Issa Rae, who kicked off the podcast as a guest, other high-profile names set to appear on the inaugural season include: KeKe Palmer, Tracee Ellis Ross, Tyler Perry, Gabrielle Union, Dwyane Wade, Elaine Welteroth, and Angie Martinez.

As we wait with anticipation for each episode to drop, we decided to compile a quick list of topics we’d love to hear discussed from Obama’s perspective.

1. Tips For Maintaining Your Marriage

The Obamas have been married for over 30 years, and managed to keep everything together despite being under the most intense microscope in the world—The White House. Surely, she has more than a few secrets and doses of wisdom to share on how to make a marriage work through the good and bad times.

2. Black Women And Mental Health

During these extremely stressful times, the preservation of your mental health is essential—especially as a Black woman, whose voice is often ignored and whose struggles are underrepresented. We would listen intently to a conversation about how Black women can ensure that their mental health is a top priority, as well as ways to block out or eliminate mental health triggers.

3. Transitioning As An Empty-Nester

Malia and Sasha Obama literally grew up in front of the world, but now that the young ladies are off living their own lives, Michelle and Barack share the experience of being empty-nesters with many others. A candid conversation about how parenting differs once your kids leave home would be helpful for those struggling with their new normal.

4. Can Women Have It All?

Women are often tasked with being everything to everyone at all times—which is something that Obama is more than familiar with. Hearing her opinion on how and/or if women can have the desired balance in both their personal and professional lives would be essential and beneficial to the many women currently facing the challenge.

5. What’s Next? Facing The Second Half Of Your Life

Once you reach the middle point in your life where you’ve retired, raised your kids, and checked off all of the boxes you set when you were younger, you often ask yourself, “Now what?” Obama’s advice on making the most of the second half of your life could provide insight and support for those who are feeling lost.
