Black women hit the Houston Rodeo, rocking bedazzled boots, liquid leathers, and sexy corsets. They showed off their style by paying homage to the rodeo lifestyle that is integral to the Western heritage deeply celebrated in Texas culture.
The 2025 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo brings over two million attendees. This makes it the perfect venue for Black women to flex their fashion skills.
The rodeo aesthetic has been rising in mainstream culture over the past decade. Artists like Megan Thee Stallion and KenTheMan have popularized the visual aesthetic of the yeehaw agenda. Filmmakers like Jeymes Samuel have tapped into it as well.

Attendees at the Houston rodeo have the chance to enjoy a variety of entertainment options. This includes traditional competitions lik “bareback riding, bull riding, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, tie-down roping,” and other rodeo attractions. It also features a carnival full of family-friendly attractions like ferris wheels, carousel rides, haunted mansions, merry-go-rounds, petting zoos, birthing centers, and beehives.
We love ogling the fun prints, oversized belts, and metallic boots Black women wear to the R&B brunches, concerts, and other events at the rodeo.
Proceeds from the rodeo aid in supporting the “youth of Texas and education.” This makes it an even better place to rock a new fit.
