Whenever our forever First Lady Michelle Obama speaks, we give her the undivided attention she so richly deserves — which is also the likely sentiment of those attending her next public appearance.
It was recently announced that Michelle Obama is headed to SXSW, the popular annual conference and festival featuring notable names and companies from the worlds of film, television, interactive media and more.

Our forever FLOTUS is set to headline a special session at SXSW that will be alongside her brother, Craig Robinson, Deadline reports. SXSW president and chief operating officer, Hugh Forest, expressed his appreciation at Obama’s inclusion in this year’s event.
“Michelle Obama has long been an inspiration to us at SXSW and to millions of people around the world. Her belief that we lift each other up by sharing our stories with one another is a core part of the SXSW experience and a key catalyst in helping creative people achieve their goals,” he said, per the outlet. “It is the ultimate honor and an incredible thrill to welcome Michelle and her brother, Craig Robinson, to the 2025 event.”
Obama and her brother will take the stage on March 13. SXSW runs from March 7 through March 15 in Austin, Texas. Since fiercely campaigning for former vice president Kamala Harris during her run for president last year, Obama has kept a low public profile.
She was not in attendance at the late President Jimmy Carter’s memorial service back in January and she famously skipped Donald’s Trump’s presidential inauguration for his second term the same month. However, husband, former President Barack Obama, attended both events.
The Obamas have a full slate these days courtesy of their lucrative Netflix deal, which recently produced the hit matchmaking reality series The Later Daters, through their joint production company Higher Ground.
