How Black Women Can Protect Their 'Pink Lotus' On V-Day
Love, Sisterhood And Self-Discovery: Summer Dennis’ Pink Lotus Conversations Ignites Powerful Dialogue For Black Women

Source: Summer Dennis
In honor of Valentine’s Day, I sat down with R&B songstress and powerhouse vocalist Summer Dennis for an inspiring conversation focused on a love that is just as important as romance—the love shared between sisters, friends, and the incredible community of Black women lifting each other up every single day.
The discussion was inspired by and named after Dennis’ hit 2024 song “Pink Lotus,” an anthem for women who know their worth. Not your average love song, the track, featuring sultry vocals and a thumping beat, is about setting the bar high and demanding respect.
Joined by MadameNoire’s very own Social Media Maven Tiffany Smith and Rolling Stone’s Delisa Shannon, the conversation explored the realities of navigating the world and dating as a Black woman, balancing ambition with personal fulfillment, and the deeper meaning of self-love beyond romance.

Through shared experiences and uplifting dialogue, the Pink Lotus Conversations, sponsored by Whoopi Goldberg’s amazing Prosecco line, fostered a space of authenticity, encouragement, and connection.
This Valentine’s-inspired conversation served as a reminder that love—in all its forms—begins with self-empowerment and community.
