5 Times City Girls' JT Shut Down Haters And Praised Lil Uzi Vert

2. JT on Caresha Please (8/11/2022)

Over a year later, the rapper sat with Yung Miami and their rapper friend Saucy Santana on Miami’s podcast Caresha Please. Here JT got very candid about the authenticity and comfortability within her relationship with Uzi. 

“This my first time really being in love, living with my man, waking up with somebody day to day, you know, letting somebody see you without your wig, letting somebody see you without your makeup, taking a shower, letting somebody see your dirty draws,” she said. “So this is my first real relationship and it’s good. Imma say me and Uzi is both fire signs so we both are crazy and it works.”

Miami and Santana joked with JT that some fans don’t believe she is a City Girl anymore due to her relationship status. 

“I honestly feel like he did the materialistic s–t already. I know for a fact that he will buy me anything. He buy me s–t everyday. Like he don’t buy hisself nothing without buying me nothing.”

But she argued that she is still very much a City Girl. After revealing that Uzi just gifted her a Birkin bag she said, “Uzi like he will do any and everything for me. I just don’t flex it no more because we live together. Like he pay all the bills. I don’t pay a bill. I don’t even know what the first of the month is.”

“I’m put up,” she concluded. Mic drop!

3. JT on Twitter (October 2022)

JT often gets more protective of her man when she gets on Twitter. In October of 2022, pictures surfaced of a shirtless, tatted-up Uzi with a new belly button ring. The piercing didn’t sit right with fans who proceeded to question the Philadelphia native’s sexuality. But the chatter didn’t go on too long before JT stepped in.

She tweeted, “Everytime MY ni–a do something he want to do y’all act amazed, that’s BEEN his aesthetic before me I guess this side more tuned in but let me tell y’all something he a black rockstar that does what he wants.”

Further explaining how the fans get under her skin, she said, “Uzi date me & we honestly have two different audiences so nothing bother me more then when he doing what he want y’all Tag me & say ‘THIS YOUR MAN’…yes h-e that’s MY man. MY good man, MY rich man, MY respectful man, MY lit man, MY successful black rockstar.”

4. JT On Angie Martinez (2/10/23)

In 2023, JT stopped by Angie Martinez’s show IRL where she opened up about being with Uzi and sharing what she loves about them. 

“I can say Uzi is a great man. No matter how the internet tries to paint Uzi,” she said before she later added, “To this day, I do not know what he saw in me. Because it’s just like me coming from where I come from going through what I went through, I do not know what made me so deserving of somebody so good.”

As far as what attracted her to them, she said it was, “His swag, his individuality, how nice he was and then how much he can still be a player too, the challenge.”

“Just everything about him was cool as f–k. I was like, d–n, oh I thought you was just weird as h-ll. You got h–s? So it was cute just exploring him and getting to know him as a person and who he really was and seeing him under the surface. I was just like everybody else in the world like looking at him as this crazy wild a– person but he’s not like that.”

5.  JT on X (4/14/24)

One of the other cutest moments where JT showed her love for Uzi was after their performance at last year’s Coachella. Uzi’s set was one of the most highly talked about acts of the festival after voguing to an unreleased song. Voguing is a dance normally associated with the LGBTQIA + community.

So when Uzi did it on stage, fans raised questions about their sexuality once again. But, JT soon swooped in to defend Uzi, cussing out a few fans. However, she also took the time to write sweet messages about their performance. 

“UZI KILLED IT BIG STARRRR!!!! CAN DO WHAT THEY WANT!!!!!!!!!” she wrote, also adding, “Making time to support the ppl you love no matter how busy you are is important! Ppl always remember who shows up!”

Responding to that tweet she revealed how she made sure to show up for the man she loves, Uzi. “I just woke up body aching from running through Coachella like a maniac to catch Uzi set to cause I shot a video day before I had to be from Boston back to LA call time was 6am then to Coachella the next day,” she explained. “Now Im headed to Miami ! But I made it to everything I needed to & so full of joy.”
