How Emerging Tech Could Enhance Penis Size And Functionality

The average penis of today could look very different in the near future, thanks to several technological advancements on the horizon.

In an article for the Daily Mail published on Jan. 26, health experts revealed that a range of innovations are currently in development to enhance and optimize male sexual function. These include internal devices designed to boost sensitivity and sexual intimacy, as well as technologies aimed at improving sperm mobility and reproduction.

One groundbreaking invention currently in the works is a device inspired by the Ecballium plant, also known as the squirting cucumber. The technology aims to help sperm travel faster and farther to reach a woman’s egg. The plant itself is remarkable, ejecting its seeds at an impressive 44 mph—significantly faster than the speed of human ejaculate, which moves at around 28 mph.

The innovation doesn’t end there. If a man is having trouble with arousal in the near future, tech experts are also developing a human implant that could be inserted into the penis, enabling it to vibrate at will. Rich Lee, a Utah-based salesman who dubs himself the “Elon Musk of sex tech,” is one of the key figures pushing this frontier. Under his company, Cyborgasmics, Lee is working on the “Lovetron9000″—a prototype implant designed to be placed under the pubic bone, allowing the penis to vibrate on command, helping to improve intimacy for both partners.

These technological advancements are being developed to accommodate the penis’ growth, experts say.

While some of these developments may seem entertainment-focused, health experts believe that these emerging penile advancements could assist the evolution of the male member as it appears to be growing quickly. Scientists predict that the penis could push past its average length of 8.5 inches by the year 2100, all due to environmental factors like pollution or living an inactive lifestyle.

To put things in perspective, a 2023 Stanford University study revealed that men’s penises have grown at an “alarming rate” over just 30 years. Analyzing data from 55,761 men, researchers found that the average erect penis length increased by 25% from 1992 to 2021, rising from 4.8 inches to 6 inches.

“If there is enough demand, driven by fashion or societal trends, for tweaking bits of the body then we’re probably not that far away from being able to genetically do that,” Simon Underdown, a professor of biological anthropology at Oxford Brookes University, told the Daily Mail.

“That’s what makes humans really interesting — we’re close to the point at which we can mess about with biological processes because we want to rather than there being a strong biological selective pressure.”

Kris Kovarovic added that these technological advancements are arriving just in time, as the increasing size of the penis could impact reproduction. Kovarovic suggested that adjustments may be needed to accommodate the growing size, particularly when it comes to the dimensions of the female vagina.

Currently, vaginal dilators are the only devices designed to widen and lengthen the vagina and they are available in various sizes and materials like plastic and silicone, according to Flo. However, given the rapid pace of technological advancements, it’s likely that new innovations in this area could be on the horizon sooner than expected.
