The Grammys 2025 are underway with the biggest stars in Black Hollywood slaying the red carpet at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
Funnyman Trevor Noah returns to emcee “music’s biggest night” for the fifth time. Also nominated for Best Comedy Album for his Netflix special Where Was I, the former The Daily Show host is sure to bring the laughs amid these tumultuous times.
The Recording Academy announced that tonight’s show will spotlight the devastating Los Angeles wildfires, which have displaced celebrities, like soul singer Jhené Aiko, and regular folks alike, including residents of the historic Black community of Altadena.

Speaking of Black history, Beyoncé leads all artists this year with an impressive 11 nominations! Queen Bey is up for album of the year for her ground-breaking country album Cowboy Carter in addition to song and record of the year for “Texas Hold ‘Em.”
Kendrick Lamar‘s diss track turned summer bop “Not Like Us” competes for Song of the Year and Record of the Year. The track’s producer, MUUUUUUUUSTARD, also nabbed a nod in the Producer of the Year, Non-Classical category.
Other nominees include Doechii and Shaboozey, who will duke it out for Best New Artist. André 3000‘s controversial “flute album” New Blue Sun competes for Album of the Year. And, Haitian-Canadian music producer and rapper KAYTRANADA is up for Best Dance/Electronic Album for Timeless.

Viewers can expect performances by Cynthia Erivo, Doechii, and Janelle Monáe. During the annual In Memoriam segment, John Legend and Stevie Wonder will also appear in a “star-studded salute to the life and legacy” of producer Quincy Jones, who died in 2024.
