Hoping to spice up your sex life in 2025? Author and podcaster, Dr. Jessica O’Reilly, has listed the five hottest sex tips that may help boost your intimacy to the next level in the new year.

1. Light things up with multisensory integration

In a Nov. 26 article for Astroglide, Dr. O’Reilly recommended that couples try a tantalizing technique known as multisensory integration. This approach involves creating the perfect mood by incorporating ambiance, visual stimulation, tactile exploration, and other sensory elements to elevate and intensify sexy time with your partner.

According to Dr. O’Reilly, multisensory integration begins with visual stimulation. You can achieve this by creating a sensual ambiance in the bedroom by dimming the lamps or using colored light bulbs and candles to create an intimate and relaxing environment.

“Consider hanging erotic art or playing sexy videos in the background,” for an added touch, wrote Dr. O’Reilly.

Take things up a notch with auditory stimulation. Dr. O’Reilly recommended curating a playlist of your favorite love songs—music that can guide the rhythm of your movements or evoke powerful emotions with symphonic crescendos. To further set the mood, incorporate tactile and olfactory elements into your space. Choose luxurious silk sheets or textured blindfolds to provide new sensations and light-scented candles, diffuse essential oils, or burn incense known to enhance arousal.

Dr. O’Reilly suggested using fragrances like vanilla, jasmine, peppermint, and sandalwood, which are particularly linked to heightened sensuality. Finally, wrap up your multisensory experience with some gustatory indulgence to truly engage all five senses.

“Incorporate flavored lubricants (like Astroglide Strawberry), edible body paints, and aphrodisiac foods into your routine to engage the sense of taste,” the sex expert penned.
