This spring, there’s power in the flower! Floral prints are HUGE right now, literally. The over-sized petals of today are a nice update on a trend that comes as no surprise. Like clockwork, roses, orchids, lilies, and more appear in full bloom during the month of March. Labels like Diane von Furstenberg, Cynthia Rowley, and Balmain featured floral prints in their Spring 2012 collections. As a result, celebs such as Zoe Saldana and Solange have already been spotted rocking the trend.

We know keeping up with the ‘latest and greatest’ can be expensive for us fashionistas on a budget. So we’ve gathered pieces that are both easy on the eyes and the wallet. Thank us later, you’ve got some petal pickin’ to do!

Tropical Floral Print Leggings, Topshop – $40

Floral trousers are everywhere right now, but a legging option like this one is a safer bet. Leggings have more stretch which allow them to mold to the wearer’s shape. Not to mention they’re less expensive. This tropical print is so bright and fun!  A loose creme blouse and flats are chic options to pair with this bottom. If you just HAVE to have a pair of floral trousers, then check out this option here, also by Topshop.

Woven Floral Skirt, Forever21 – $10.36

At first glance, you may think this skirt doesn’t stand out as much as our other choices. Look closer. This high-waist number is comprised of tiny flowers that ban together and create the look of larger flowers. It’s an inception skirt, but instead of dreams we’re dealing with a print within a print. At any rate, it’s beautiful and you can’t beat the price!
