Here’s what your weekly grocery list should look like: lean proteins, whole grains, fruits, veggies, penis foods – wait, what? Yup. Don’t forget to throw some groin grub on there for your penis-having partner. When you think of sexy foods, you might think about stuff that’s fun to feed each other or eat off each other like grapes and honey, chocolate sauce, whipped cream…Okay sorry, we got distracted.

Sexy foods aren’t just the ones that are tasty and fun in the moment. There are some that are proven to improve penile function. So whether your partner is dealing with erectile dysfunction or things are working just fine and you’d like to keep it that way, here are nine foods that are great for penis health. Open wide! (We mean for the, uh, food).

If you’re looking for a healthy snack to keep around the house, try pistachios. These salty nuts are great for the organ that sits next to your partner’s nuts. Research published in Your Sexual Medicine Journal found that pistachios can boost erectile function, increase desire and boost orgasm intensity. Maybe keep a bowl bedside.

Garlic

You might want to keep some strong mouthwash on hand after this one (or just not kiss during sex – we don’t judge). Garlic boosts blood flow to all parts of the body – including down south. So next time you’re making pasta for dinner, toss in a few extra cloves.

Olive Oil

Olive oil is one of the healthiest oils to cook with. It’s good for your heart and boasts omega fatty acids. It can also boost testosterone production. There are tons of ways to incorporate olive oil into date night. Drizzle it over some appetizers. Make a salad dressing with it. Or put some on your body and have your partner lick it off.

Watermelon

Just the act of eating this pinkish-red, juicy fruit is pretty sexual. So you’re off to a good start if you add this to your date night menu. It also has a little something called citrulline, an amino acid that relaxes blood vessels and increases blood flow. So it will relax and excite your partner in all the right ways.

Chili Peppers

It’s time to spice things up – literally. Incorporate some chili peppers into your pre-sex meal. Research published in the Scandinavian Journal of Urology and Nephrology found that capsaicin, an active component found in chili peppers, can boost erectile function. So feed your partner hot sauce before getting hot and heavy.

Coffee

In addition to the obvious energy-boosting benefit of coffee, it can also improve penile function. Research has found that men who drink a few cups of coffee per day are 42 percent less likely than men who drink very little coffee to deal with erectile dysfunction. So brew a tall, dark and hot cup for your tall, dark and hot person.

Cherries

Hand-feeding your partner cherries is inherently sexy. And cherries have antioxidants that boost nitric oxide production, which is involved in healthy erectile function. They also have something called anthocyanins, which flush out the arteries to keep blood flowing to all areas.

Oatmeal

If you want to make a sweet treat for your sweetheart, whip up a batch of oatmeal cookies. Oats have an amino acid that is often used in the treatment of erectile dysfunction, so keeping oats around the house is a good idea. Maybe try oatmeal for breakfast if you love morning sex.
