Feeling pretty goes beyond looking pretty. It’s much more than cute hair and a beat face. It’s internal—it’s being comfortable in your own skin. Feeling pretty resonates in your spirit—it’s a mindset.
As a Black woman, it’s waking in the morning, planting your feet on the ground and seizing the day. It’s wrapping your hair in colorful garb and wearing a bold red dress to compliment rich brown skin. Feeling pretty is the confidence in those actions. Feeling pretty is the happiness and the beauty that blooms from those carefree moments.
It’s the smile Black women wear—in spite of it all, that is pretty—period.
