Dionne Warwick Calls Out Tyler, the Creator's 2021 AMAs Stage Outfit

Dionne Warwick has the internet laughing with her once again.

On Monday, online’s “Queen of Twitter” posted a photo of rapper Tyler, the Creator performing at the American Music Awards this past Sunday. During his set, Tyler performed the song “MASSA” off his sixth studio album released earlier this year, Call Me If You Get Lost. Standing in front of a teal door on a snow-covered house and with frosty trees by his side, the rapper wore a fur hat and puffer coat with shorts.

“Are you hot or cold, dear? @tylerthercreater,” Warwick asked Tyler in the tweet — funnily pointing out how the rapper appeared to be dressed for both winter and spring.

Warwick officially joined Twitter in October 2012, but it wasn’t until late last year that the singer started going viral for her tweets.

The 80-year-old’s online presence has become so popular that many have dubbed her their honorary “auntie” and she’s even inspired a reoccurring Saturday Night Live bit.

Warwick’s topical commentary and often funny and slightly shady tweets have amassed her over 580.4K followers on the blue bird app — all of whom especially love it when the singer teases fellow musicians.

Chance the Rapper

Chicago’s Chance the Rapper couldn’t believe it when Warwick acknowledged him on Twitter around this time last year. Their interaction all started when Warwick posted: “Hi, @chancetherapper. If you are very obviously a rapper why did you put it in your stage name? I cannot stop thinking about this.”

“I am now Dionne the Singer,” she said in a follow-up.

“Sorry I’m still freaking out that u know who I am. This is amazing!” Chance wrote back, adding, “I will be whatever you wanna call me Ms Warwick. God bless you.”

Shortly after, Warwick responded to Chance and said, “Of course I know you. You’re THE rapper. Let’s rap together. I’ll message you.”

The Weeknd

The same day Warwick questioned Chance about why he had “the” in his stage name, the singer kept tweeting, “The Weeknd is next. Why? It’s not even spelled correctly?”

“If you have ‘The’ in your name i’m coming for you,” Warwick hilariously warned. “I need answers today.”

U2

After people started debating whether the 80-year-old was a psychic, Warwick shut down the rumors by throwing some shade at U2’s 2014 album Songs of Innocence, which iTunes added to everyone’s library involuntarily when it came out.

“Don’t you think I would have warned you all about iTunes making you have that U2 album if I were actually psychic?” Warwick sharply tweeted in November 2020.

Cardi B

Apparently, Warwick became familiar with Cardi B’s music more in-depth at the top of this year.

“After today, I can confidently add ‘Cardi B’ to the list of people my niece has opened my eyes to. More on this this tomorrow,” the 80-year-old posted in January.

Cher

After Cher randomly tweeted, “Be right back, have a call,” earlier this year, Warwick trolled the star with: “My phone didn’t ring?”

We can only imagine what that convo would be like.

Lil Yachty

Warwick was giving lovable auntie vibes when she asked Lil Yatchy where he got the inspiration for his stage name — especially since the 24-year-old rapper was born Miles Parks McCollum.

DaBaby

“I hope that DaBaby’s mother call herself DaMama. The would be a wonderful full circle moment,” Warwick funnily posted on Twitter in January.
