MADAMENOIRE previously reported Cynthia Bailey’s departure from The Real Housewives of Atlanta franchise after 11 years on the show. Although it’s a bittersweet goodbye, the Bravo star shared that she was excited to embrace new chapters in her life on an Instagram post shared Sept. 27.
For RHOA fans, Cynthia has been mostly known for her fashion sense, chic versatility, her classy yet sharp-tongued reads when it came to her castmate’s shenanigans and her hustle as a mother, model and overall business owner. With camera-ready cheekbones that sit high and statuesque, Cynthia’s intelligent and sassy personality emphasized that models are more than just pretty faces. While she had her highs and lows on the show — and fans sometimes called her out for the way she handled sticky situations — the star was well liked on RHOA overall and she generally served as a neutral party when drama popped off.
Her storyline in Season 13 made her the only housewife in Housewives history, across all franchises, who got married on camera twice.
Paying homage to her time on the show, here are the most memorable Cynthia x RHOA moments.

The Friendship Contract With NeNe Leakes
In Season 3, Cynthia made her RHOA debut as an established supermodel who just made the move from NYC to Atlanta. She came on strong as NeNe’s new friend on the block.
After the two got into it over some petty drama, Cynthia asked NeNe to sign a “friendship contract” that jokingly said it couldn’t be broken until death and that the two had to reconcile after any arguments by crying together or attending a wedding together. As you can imagine, the playful document seemed kind of weird to the other ladies within the RHOA circle at the time, particularly Kim Zolciak.
Cynthia ended up burning her copy of the friend contract in Season 8 amid another strained period in her relationship with NeNe.

Cynthia’s Wedding To Peter Thomas
Cynthia married her now ex-husband, Peter, in the Season 3 finale. She stunned in a non-traditional silver wedding gown and the wedding’s venue was lovely. The couple faced many hurdles before saying “I do’s” — including running out of money, the closing of Peter’s bar, Uptown, and Cynthia’s family not being supportive of the wedding going down. Who can forget when Cynthia’s mother and her sister Mallory conspired to sabotage the wedding by hiding the couple’s marriage certificate on the day of the ceremony?!

Calling Out Kenya Moore For Being Obsessed With “Coochie Crack”
In Season 5, Kenya joined the RHOA cast and came in fierce. Even though the two are bosom buddies now, Kenya and Cynthia didn’t get along when the former first joined the show.
When Cynthia invited Kenya to The Bailey Agency to help judge a casting call for JET’s Beauty of the Week, Kenya was harsh to some of the aspiring models — particularly a young woman who she said was flashing her with ass crack and coochie crack.
Cynthia was embarrassed about Kenya’s behavior at her business. The model gave the pageant queen a series of shady reads before the two ladies finally settled their differences on a cast trip later that season.

When NeNe Called Peter A Bitch
RHOA fans know that when NeNe called Peter a bitch, it was an offense that took her and Cynthia years to finally get over in the aftermath. Essentially, NeNe — Cynthia’s then best friend — believed that Peter was too involved and opinionated about the drama between the wives back in Season 6. That said, while on a cast trip to Mexico organized by Kenya, Peter and NeNe’s husband Gregg got into a heated exchange that almost turned physical before the ladies came in and tried to de-escalate things.
NeNe’s version of de-escalating that situation included saying Peter was “acting like a damn bitch.” Unfortunately, many fans think that her and Cynthia’s friendship never fully got back on track after that — so it was a pivotal moment for Cynthia’s trajectory on the show overall.
Cynthia Telling Phaedra Parks To “Win A Case”
This is probably one of Cynthia’s most iconic lines from her time on RHOA. The two ladies bumped heads during Season 7, mostly due to Phaedra saying Cynthia was spreading rumors about her having an affair outside of her marriage to Apollo Nida with an African man named “Mr. Chocolate.”
At the reunion that year, Phaedra — a well-known entertainment lawyer — doubled down on the feud with some shade by mentioning that her mother purchased from the plus-sized women’s catalogs Cynthia models for. In response, Cynthia suggested that PhaePhae spend more time on actually winning some cases in the courtroom.

When She Gave Porsha Williams A “Kung Fu Panda” Kick
Even though reality stars often get a bad rap for quickly escalating verbal disagreements into physical altercations, Cynthia was a housewife who was never associated with that type of drama — until Season 8.
While on a yacht trip with the other ladies, the group went from affectionately calling each other bitch throughout the day, to Cynthia going off on Porsha for calling her a bitch after one too many drinks. Unfortunately, the fight ended up getting physical after — amidst heated words — Porsha straddled Cynthia and Cynthia gave Porsha a kick to the stomach.
Cynthia later admitted that she over-reacted in the incident — and at one point, Kenya made light of the situation in its aftermath by jokingly calling Cynthia Kung Fu Panda.
Dressing Up As “50 Cynt”
Who can forget when Cynthia dressed up as 50 Cynt?! Even though the world knows her as a versatile supermodel who slayed the runways of the 90s, her Halloween costume is Season 9 definitely going down in history as one of her most unexpected yet iconic looks.

Supporting Her Daughter’s Sexuality
Fans watched Cynthia’s daughter Noelle Robinson grow up on the show since her mother’s RHOA debut in Season 3. That said, viewers got a more candid look and the pair’s mother-daughter relationship when in Season 12, Cynthia had an open and judgment-free conversation with Noelle about her sexual fluidity.
“I just want you to be happy, Noelle. If you meet an amazing young lady, that’s a blessing… As long as they’re good people and they love and support you.” Cynthia told her daughter. In her confessional, she later added, “It makes me excited that Noelle feels like she has a safe space to share… Love is love.”

Her Wedding To Mike Hill
Speaking of love, despite receiving some flack last season (Season 13) for going forward with a 200+ guest list for her wedding in the middle of a global pandemic, longtime fans were happy to see Cynthia tie the knot with the man of her dreams.

As we watched Cynthia and Mike’s romantic relationship blossom, a blind man could see her affection for him. Since Mike seemed equally serious about her, the two were and often still are referred to by their couple name, “CHILL.”
Notably, Season 13 also gave us Cynthia’s bachelorette party, #Strippergate and all the drama that ensued from the ladies’ antics that night.
Even though Cynthia won’t be holding a peach anytime soon, she left RHOA on an entertainingly high note!
