There was so many rumors surrounding Beyonce’s pregnancy – most notably the one about her faking her pregnancy and using a surrogate. Well, by now, everyone is convinced she gave birth to her own child. Need proof? Just look at her plump face weeks before she gave birth. You can’t fake that honey.

Although it seems that surrogacy is getting more popular amongst Hollywood’s elite, for the most part, many of those who use surrogates due so out of exhausted options. Whether it be age or the simple inability to conceive, people turn to the expensive option of surrogacy as a last resort. That’s not the case for everyone but that is the case for most. For the rest, we can bet that those obsessed with vanity don’t want to wreak havoc on their bodies even if it does mean sacrificing the most precious bonding moments between mother and child.

Most on this list of celebrities who’ve used surrogates belong to the former group but there are a couple whose vanities may be at play…

Chris Bosh and wife Adrienne

This has not been confirmed as of yet but Bossip is reporting that Adrienne Bosh is using a surrogate because she doesn’t want to ruin her body. Okay, we can understand her sentiments but for her husband to actually allow his stay-at-home young wifey to use a surrogate is a little suspect and punk-ish if you ask us.

Robert DeNiro  and Grace Hightower

Hey, if you have the money and love by which to nurture another baby, why not keep procreating? That’s probably what actor Robert DeNiro was thinking when he and his wife decided to use a surrogate to have a baby girl a month ago. The couple have been together 14 years and have a 13-year-old son together. At 68, DeNiro is one old daddy. Hightower herself is 56 so we can understand clearly why she needed a surrogate.

Angela Bassett and Courtney B. Vance

Bassett and her husband have had a long relationship and were already married for nearly 10 years before they decided to turn to surrogacy. After seven grueling years of trying to get pregnant, the couple turned to surrogacy as a last-ditch effort. In 2006, they welcomed their fraternal twin sons Bronwyn Golden and Slater Josiah.

Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick

Another couple who had twins with the help of a surrogate mother is Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick. In June of 2009, they added twin girls to their family. They already had a six-year old son at the time. Parker spoke openly about having difficulty conceiving after she birthed her first child, son James Wilke.

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban

The A-list actress and her musician husband welcomed a daughter in 2010 with the help of a surrogate. Although Kidman was 41 when she gave birth to their first daughter together, Sunday Rose, we assume that it may have been difficult to conceive at 43.

Camille Grammer and Kelsey Grammer

Many people would look at the now Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star and think: she came up! Well, the fact that she married into major money and the fact that she had both kids, with ex-husband Kelsey Grammer, through surrogacy doesn’t help her image as a gold-digger.

Ricky Martin

Well, this is a different situation with Ricky Martin. It wasn’t too long ago that Martin was playing America’s leading Latin hearthrob. But in 2010, Martin confirmed publicy that he was indeed gay. Martin had no other choice but to use a surrogate to have children since he wasn’t going to be in a relationship with a woman ever….

In 2008, he welcomed twin sons Matteo and Valentino.
