Thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, the holiday season looks a lot different this year. Whether you’re having a holiday party via Zoom or choosing to celebrate solo and socially distanced, we’ve got you covered with a list of holiday cocktails. These cocktails can be crafted with Smirnoff, Bulleit Bourbon or Aberfeldy.  Take a look at these holiday cocktail recipes that are sure to get you in a festive mood.

ABERFELDY HOLIDAY COCKTAILS

Golden Hot Chocolate

Ingredients:

1.5 oz ABERFELDY 12 Single Malt Scotch Whisky

5 oz Milk (or Milk Alternative)

3 Tbs. ABERFELDY Golden Hot Chocolate Mix

Garnish: Marshmallows and Edible Gold Glitter

Directions: 

Warm 5 oz of milk (or milk alternative) in a small pot, then stir in 3 tbsp of ABERFELDY Golden Hot Chocolate mix until dissolved. In a mug, carefully combine hot chocolate and 1.5 oz of ABERFELDY 12. Garnish with marshmallows and edible gold glitter.

GOLDEN HOT TODDY

Ingredients:

2 oz ABERFELDY 12 Years Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky

½ oz Local Honey Syrup (honey syrup = 1 part honey, 1 part water)

½ oz Lemon Juice

Hot Water (to top)

Directions: Add all ingredients to a heatproof glass/mug and add hot water to top. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and lemon wheel.

ABERFELDY GOLDEN CRUSTA

Ingredients:

2 oz ABERFELDY 12 Years Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky

¼ oz Maraschino Liqueur

¼ oz Lemon Juice

½ oz Cointreau

Directions: Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice. Shake vigorously for ~30 seconds and strain into a golden sugar rimmed glass.

Note: Makes 1 cocktail

SMIRNOFF GREEN APPLE CIDER

Ingredients:

1.5 oz. Smirnoff Green Apple

2.5 oz. Apple Cider

2 oz. Club Soda

Directions:

Rim a cocktail glass with caramel and crushed graham cracker.

Add the Apple Cider and Smirnoff Green Apple into a cocktail shaker with ice.

Shake and strain into a glass with ice.

Top with Club Soda and garnish with an apple slice.

Note: Makes 1 cocktail

MAPLE GINGER MOSCOW MULE

Ingredients:

1.5 oz Smirnoff No. 21 Vodka

4 oz Ginger Beer
1 tsp maple syrup
3 tsp Fresh grated ginger
Apple slice
Fresh ginger slice
Cinnamon Stick

Directions:
Combine Smirnoff No. 21 vodka, chilled ginger beer, and maple syrup along with grated ginger in a copper mule mug.
Stir to combine and garnish with an apple slice, fresh ginger slice, and a cinnamon stick.

Note: Makes 1 cocktail

THE JINGLE BELL FIZZ

Ingredients:

1 oz ABERFELDY 12 Years Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky

1 oz Unfiltered Apple Juice

½ oz Lemon Juice

½ oz Cinnamon Syrup

Sparkling Wine (to top)

Directions: Add ABERFELDY 12, apple juice, lemon juice and syrup to a glass and stir. Pour into a champagne flute and top with sparkling wine. Garnish with a rosemary sprig and a dehydrated apple slice.

SMIRNOFF WINTER CRANBERRY MIMOSA

SMIRNOFF WINTER CRANBERRY MIMOSA

Ingredients:

1 oz Smirnoff No. 21 Vodka
2 oz. Cranberry Sorbet
3 oz. Prosecco

Directions:
Add cranberry sorbet into a flute glass.

Pour 1 oz Smirnoff No. 21 Vodka over the sorbet

Top with prosecco and sugared cranberries.

Note: Makes 1 cocktail

THE JOLLY SCOTSMAN

Ingredients:

2 oz ABERFELDY 12 Years Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky

½ oz Lemon Juice

¼ oz Cointreau

½ oz Cranberry Simple Syrup

2 dashes Peychaud’s Bitters

Directions: Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice. Shake vigorously for ~30 seconds and strain into a coupe martini/champagne glass. Garnish with a rosemary sprig and an orange slice with cloves.

BULLEIT BOURBON CRANBERRY OLD FASHIONED

Ingredients:

Bourbon Soaked Cranberries

2 oz dried cranberries
4 oz Bulleit Bourbon
1 cinnamon stick

Cranberry Old Fashioned

Ice
1 ½ oz Bulleit Bourbon
½ oz infused Bulleit Bourbon, from the dried cranberries
1 spoonful soaked cranberries
1-2 strips orange zest
2-3 drops orange bitters
1 tbsp simple syrup, or to taste
Orange wedges, for garnish

Directions:
Bourbon Soaked Cranberries

Add the cranberries, bourbon and cinnamon stick to a sealable glass container. Give it a stir and let the mixture sit on the counter for 1 day.
Remove the cinnamon stick and put the bourbon cranberries in the refrigerator.
Keep up to 1 month, refrigerated

Cranberry Old Fashioned

Fill a glass with ice.
Add the bourbon, infused bourbon, some of the bourbon cranberries, orange zest, orange bitters, stir the cocktail and taste.
If needed, add sugar syrup a little at a time until the cocktail is sweetened to your liking.
Garnish with two orange wedges.

Note: Makes 6-8 cocktails

ABERFELDY HARVEST DRAM

Ingredients:

2 oz ABERFELDY 12 Years Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky

½ oz Mulled Wine Syrup

2 dashes Aromatic Bitters

2 dashes Orange Bitters

Directions: Add ABERFELDY 12, mulled wine syrup and bitters to a mixing glass and stir. Pour into a rocks glass and add block ice. Garnish with an orange peel and cloves.
