Although Ciara has had great success in bouncing back after baby in the past, after having her third child, son Win, she’s getting a little bit of help this time as the newest global ambassador for WW.
The 34-year-old announced the news in a chat with PEOPLE, admitting that the lengths she would go before to shed weight postpartum just wouldn’t work for her schedule now.
“The extreme way that I would approach my eating habits [before] is just unrealistic for me. I have too much to look after, and I’m also breastfeeding,” she said. “I’m just getting started, but so far it’s really fun.”
With the assistance of a coach and the program app, the “Level Up” singer said she’s already started cultivating better, more realistic eating habits with WW.
“For me, it gives me something to look forward to and makes it fun. I tried all kinds of things, sun up to sun down, and yes some of those things have worked, but they haven’t been realistic for the long term at all,” she said. “What I really love about this is I’m having fun while also learning how to develop really good eating habits. One of the ultimate goals is to have a good wellness lifestyle that’s going to carry me through life.”
The star shared that she gained the most that she has ever gained with her son Win after believing that she wouldn’t. In her two previous pregnancies, she gained more than 60 pounds. She gained 60 with Future, and it only went up from there in her following pregnancies.
“I gained 65 pounds, and I said, ‘I’m not going to do that this time. I’m not going to do it,'” she said about her pregnancy with daughter Sienna, and her hopes in her pregnancy with Win. “Then I gained probably 65 and some change!”
But the road back to her body before baby isn’t a daunting one for the star. She’s looking forward to the challenge.
“When you make it fun, it feels a bit easier,” she said. “Remind yourself that it’s going to be challenging along the way, but you can conquer it all.”
We always love when the stars keep it real about what pregnancy was like for them, including the weight gain that comes with it. Hit the flip for what a few other famous ladies said about the pounds they packed on while carrying life.

The model and singer revealed that she gained 60 pounds while carrying her first child, daughter Frankie. She initially started losing the weight fast, but then hit a wall due to a postpartum thyroid diagnosis. After changing the way she eats and getting on an exercise plan created by her husband, Alex, she got back in fighting shape.
“Today I’m in better shape than I was before the baby. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever been in this good of shape,” she said recently. “Working out has given me a place to get rid of any negative energy and emotions that I might have, boost my serotonin and practice discipline. Every day that I workout isn’t perfect, but I show up and I push myself.”

Beyoncé
While we don’t know how much she weighed before she gave birth, Beyoncé stepped on the scale in a video to promote a diet plan she was on, 22 Days Nutrition, and showed fans that she weighed 175 pounds. It was the beginning of her weight-loss efforts as well as her training to prepare for Coachella, and it was also some great progress considering that when she gave birth to twins Rumi and Sir, the star admitted that she weighed 218 pounds. She has also said she lost 65 pounds after having daughter Blue.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star shared that she gained 75 pounds during pregnancy, but admitted that a good portion of it was water weight because of her preeclampsia diagnosis.
“A lot of it, to be honest, because of the preeclampsia, was water weight gain,” she said of the weight. “So a week after I had given birth, I lost 40 pounds. But I had a C-section so I couldn’t really stand up, I obviously couldn’t work out or do anything like that. But I was a workout person before. I took care of my body. I, what we call just ‘snapped back’ after two weeks. I thought, ‘Wow! My tummy is flat again,’ or nearly flat. I didn’t think that would happen.”

The beauty revealed that she gained more than 40 pounds while pregnant with her third child, son Maverick. She has since slimmed down, doing so with motivation from her husband, Mike Sterling, and a whole lot of waist beads to help her know how far she’s come. “I compete against no one, just working hard at being the best version of ME, both inside and out,” she wrote on Instagram recently.

Mariah Carey
When pregnant with her twins, Monroe and Moroccan, Mariah Carey gained 70 pounds.
“I had, like, no bones for a while,” she said, claiming the extra pounds made her very soft. “It’s important to me to feel my bones!”
She would eventually lose the weight after giving birth, dropping 40 in water weight and 30 pounds while doing Jenny Craig.

Amber Rose
When pregnant with her first son, Sebastian, Amber Rose shared that she ended up weighing 202 pounds.
“It’s hard to get off baby weight. It’s a different kind of weight because for nine months you stretch your stomach out, and then it’s hard to get that back,” she said at the time.
With her second child, son Slash, she told fans she reached 224 pounds and was on her way back to her “happy weight” with the help of liposuction and training in the gym.
“I was 224 lbs when I had Slash 3 months ago now I’m 187 😩 155 is my happy Weight at 5’9 so I have a ways to go,” she wrote in 2019.

Janet Jackson
Determined to get back on the road after having her son, Eissa, Janet Jackson said she was able to drop 70 pounds with the help of her trainer. She didn’t have to completely deprive herself to make that happen.
“I don’t eat meat anymore, just fish occasionally and veggies,” she shared. “But I love catfish. I love a fried fish. But I’m also crazy about grilled fish. I love Snickers.”

Kevin Hart’s lovely wife is currently pregnant with their second child and due any day now. But when it comes to her first pregnancy, she shared that she gained 22 pounds. That’s not a whole lot. Her minimal weight gain was because the beauty exercised throughout her entire pregnancy with son Kenzo.

Chrissy Teigen
While Chrissy said she weighed the smallest she ever has been after having daughter Luna, she admitted that was due to postpartum depression. So after having her second child, son Miles, she opted to only lose some of the baby weight and just live her life.
“Basically I am 20 pounds heavier than I was before miles. He’s 10 months old, I never lost the last bit because I just love food too much. Just coming to terms with my new normal, when I had this certain number for so long!”
