I want to use my platform as a reminder to be your best self.”

ReBourné

The name of this brand is quite literal as it refers to founder Erin C.’s rebirth after a burn accident in 2016 left her with nerve damage to her legs that caused her to have to learn to walk normal again with scars over 60% of her body. Having to stay out of sunlight, Erin began making candles and found peace in creativity. Honoring her great grandmother, Bourne, as a homage to her grandmother who raised her, ReBourné was launched.

UnOrthoDoc Candle Co.

Jamaica-born Orthodontist Dr. Patrice Smith has a passion for creating beautiful smiles and a love for creating luxurious home and office fragrances; hence the launch of UnOrthoDoc Candle Co. Yancy Milan Home

Gabrielle Fletcher started the Yancy Milan brand out of exhaustion over the lack of eco-friendly candle options with scents that actually lasted. Her brand of soy candles has now expanded into Goddess sage sticks and a line of bath and body products, all with the goal of providing “an enchanting, relaxing atmosphere for everyone’s spaces — be it their house after a long day, their hotel while traveling for business or any other space that needs a touch of “’home.’”

Simply Scents Candle Co.

Houston-native Shanquita Greggs started making candles in her grandmother’s kitchen more than a decade ago and when she lost her job after 9/11, the practice quickly went from hobby to full-time business. The tagline for her brand is “we make candles that make scents,” and one of her signature items is the Simply Scents Candle Bundt Cake, a 4-wick candle decorated in the shape of a real bundt cake that can last for 90 hours of burning time.
