Married at First Sight Where Are They Now?

Source: Lifetime / Kinetic Content

So a crazy thing happened on Wednesday night. While we assumed that the reunion for Season 10 of Married at First Sight meant we weren’t going to be seeing any further episodes until Season 11 in New Orleans was ready, Lifetime actually aired a “Where Are They Now?” special. It was as entertaining as it sounds, because host Kevin Frazier was back, and producers tracked down many infamous couples. They talked to pairs who decided to stay together, as well as ones that didn’t make it past Decision Day. In case you missed it, we tuned in and can give you the rundown on where our infamous favorites stand romantically now. Hit the flip to find out.

Jephte and Shawniece

They’re doing good and looking good! Only thing though, the couple still don’t wear their rings. According to Jephte, they agreed not to wear them until he got down on one knee and proposed to her. Mind you, it’s been a few years, and they have a baby, and he still hasn’t done it. But for the record, he said it’s all because he’s still trying to save up for a ring (and he is in the process of transitioning out of teaching, so that may be more complicated than we thing). Otherwise, they’re in a good place and say they’re just trying to keep their marriage hot while balancing parenting responsibilities.

Nate

Remember Nate from the Chicago season? He was married to Sheila and she told him “Be done with me because I’m done with you”? Well, he made himself available for the Where Are They Now? episode to say he’s still living in Chicago, but he’s dating someone new and they’re in a really “rock solid” place. Seems Sheila wanted no parts of catching up with the show, though.

Molly

Bruh. If you’re a true Married at First Sight watcher, we’re sure you remember Molly and Jon from the sixth season. She thought he was too childish, told him he disgusted her, and after saying “I don’t” on Decision Day, he ended up falling in love with expert Dr. Jessica. It was messy at first, but he and Dr. Jessica are engaged and set to marry this year. How does Molly feel about that? She said it “kind of sucked” to find out he moved on with her because she felt like they confided in Dr. Jessica

People were telling Molly to kill herself and she ended up going to therapy; Jon got with Dr. Jessica and now theyr’e engated. She said it “kind of sucked” because she confided in Jessica.

“Looking back, maybe there was some attraction there,” she said of the two, implying that maybe Dr. Jessica was into Jon from the beginning, hence her “bias” treatment of her.

“I always felt like Jessica didn’t like me from the beginning.,” Molly claimed. Nevertheless, she wished them well and said she had no hard feelings.

Jaclyn

You may not remember Jaclyn, but she was part of the Boston season with Jephte and Shawniece. She was married to a guy named Ryan who was a firefighter and didn’t want to give up his apartment once they were married. Though they stayed together on Decision Day, they ended up divorcing later. It was for the best though, because Jaclyn ended up moving from Boston to Phoenix and is engaged to marry someone new.

Elizabeth and Jamie

They had so much drama during Season 9 in North Carolina that I’m sure you haven’t forgotten Elizabeth and Jamie. The drama continued for a short while after they decided to stay together and moved to California together. They split temporarily and she went back to North Carolina, but after the distance made things better for them, they reunited and they’re in a much better place. They’re no longer having “Basic Caucasian Sex,” and they’ve also had a conversation about having kids, going from not wanting any to being open to one.

Kristine & Keith

The Season 8 couple managed to overcome any issues they had with Keith and his expectations of the women in his life (remember, he used to live with his mother when they first said “I do”). Nowadays, they’re homeowners in Philly. They bought their own home and are in the process of fixing it up and seem to be in a great place from their brief update.

Amber & Matt

Amber and Matt have been done with each other since they both desired a divorce after Season 9 in Charlotte. Nevertheless, they are still at odds.

Looking back at their marriage, Amber said she felt she was naive, and believed too easily the things Matt told her about wanting to be married when he clearly wasn’t showing that. As for Matt, he said if he could change things, he would have been honest from the beginning “and said I really wasn’t into it.”

At one point she said, “we don’t like each other.” She is resentful of the “time that was wasted,” but he isn’t resentful because he’s been over it since Season 9 began. They’re both dating new people, but Molly shared that they’re not divorced and not even separated. She sent him paperwork to file for separation three times and he never answered. He claimed it was because he was still playing ball overseas. With that in mind, she had a notary come with the paperwork and Matt wouldn’t sign it because he wants his lawyer to look over everything. Amber was pissed.

“I want a motherf–kin’ divorce now,” she said. She eventually stormed off, and Matt would end up doing the same, saying, “I’m about to go kick it with an IG model. Holla.”

Gross.

Sam

A major throwback was Samantha from Season 3 who was married to Neil. After questioning his manhood and calling him a “b—h” at one point but wanting to stay together, she had the most dramatic response of anyone who has been told on the show that their partner didn’t want to stay with them. She ended up running outside and bawling. Looking back on that short-lived marriage, Sam, now much more mature said she was “disgusted” with how she talked to and treated Neil. “I’m not that person anymore.”

These days she has nothing but good things to say about him, and Neil showed up in a video message to do the same. Nowadays, she is married and has a daughter, while Neil is dating and got a full beard that actually looks great on him!

Tristan

No word from Mia, but Tristan Thompson (who had the same name as Khloe Kardashian’s ex while reminding people of Jay-Z) took part in the Where Are They Now? to say he was in a fantastic place. He has a whole new fiancé, as we told you, and he says she’s “the love of my life.” He also dropped a few gems, saying that after watching his season (7 in Dallas), he realized there were “some things I need to fix and most of the things were within.”

“Sometimes you have to go through pain to find peace,” he said.

Tres

Tres, who was married to Vanessa during Season 3 in Atlanta and chose not to continue on in marriage, is a bromance with fellow Season 3 participant Neil. The two did a follow-up video together, and while Neil said he’s found someone new, well, Tres said that when it comes to his love life, “it’s complicated.” Some things don’t change.
