A little over a month ago, Chance The Rapper and his wife Kirsten Corley Bennett welcomed their second child into the world, Marli. Their first daughter, Kensli, was born in 2015.
The new mama took to Instagram to share a heartwarming photo of herself holding her newborn baby girl. The 26-year-old expressed that while she’s elated to be a mama for the second time, postpartum depression is real.
“Mommy loves you my sweet Marli Grace. Postpartum does not get any easier- even with your second, but It will always be worth it for my babies,” she captioned the photo. “I can’t wait to watch you grow up”
Her hubby Chance shared the same photo on his page, praising his woman for her good looks.
“Dear Jesus, Thank you. She too fine,” he captioned the photo.
Just a few weeks ago, Chance took to Instagram to announce he was postponing his tour to focus on his family.
“When Kensli was born, I went on tour 2 weeks later and missed some of the most important milestones in her life, but more importantly I was absent when her mother needed me the most,” he explained.
“At this point as a husband and father of two I realize that I can’t make that mistake again. I need to be as helpful and available as possible to my wife in these early months of raising Kensli and Marli.”
