It’s #NationalGirlfirendDay, a time to celebrate the bonds we have with the special women in our lives. While some will choose to lavish attention and gifts in a romantic bond, others will reflect on the women in their lives who they’ve shared tears, joy and the deepest of their secrets.
Thinking on this makes us think about some of the girlfriends that we love and look up to. Holding and nurturing friendships is hard for any woman, especially as the demands of life begin to pile up, so watching celebrity women hold bonds over the challenges that mount up in the limelight makes them more relatable.
From Destiny’s Child with over 30 years of friendship between them, to the OG’s (Oprah Winfrey and Gayle King) with over 40 years of friendship, we gathered a few of the girl bonds that make us smile whenever we see them link up.
We hope it’s a reminder for you to love on an appreciate all the women you love in your life!
