Laverne Cox is a force to be reckoned with. The actress and advocate has used her celebrity status to fight for the rights of the trans community as well as the rest of the LGBTQ+. Her voice has encouraged thousands of young trans kids, teenagers, and adults to keep going despite the kickback from the rest of the world. Within the last few weeks, 3 members of the trans community were murdered. As we mourn their loss, we recognize the importance of the advocacy work being done on the behalf all people.
Beyond her contributions to the world, she also offers a fierce sense of fashion. Her love affair with wearing black and having the occasional dash of color, has become her signature look. Today, not only are we celebrating the work that Laverne has done for the LGBTQ+ community, we are recognizing the queen on her 47th rotation around the sun. Take a look at some her best red carpet ensembles.
