Gray Picks 2 More for Education Team
(Washington Informer) — D.C. Mayor-elect Vince Gray on Tuesday announced two of his top education officials, including one who is a senior adviser to the mayor of Newark, N.J. De’Shawn Wright, who is currently with Newark Public Schools and has been an adviser to Cory Booker since 2006, will be Gray’s deputy mayor for education. Hosanna Mahaley, who was formerly with the school systems in Chicago and Atlanta, will head D.C.’s Office of the State Superintendent of Education.
