I have been completely in love with photos from Carnival in Brazil and Trinidad. I’ve never been to either, but judging from the videos and photos on Instagram, it is the fete of a lifetime. This year, the colors got bolder, the makeup got brighter and the outfits were exotic. If you missed your flight to Carnival in Trinidad or Brazil, don’t worry. There’s a slew of other countries that will welcome you to theirs with open arms. As you prepare to go, get into these 5 beauty looks and the cosmetics that will help you recreate them.

Golden Goddess

What a golden goddess! This beauty is wearing a latex head to hide her hair. She styled her newly bald crown with large ear cuffs and bronze and gold makeup. To recreate this look, pick up a cosplay mask ($20.31, GearBest.com ) along with a glue that you’d use for lace front wigs like Got2B Ultra Glue Styling Gel ($4.89, RiteAid.com). Tuck your hair into a wig cap and put on the cosplay mask. Be sure to cut the face off so that you’re left with the back of the head, from the forehead, down. Use the wig glue to secure the mask to your face. If the mask doesn’t match your flesh, apply your foundation so that you can have full coverage and blended skin tones. Once your mask is glued on and foundation is applied, apply your Carnival beat. When done, you can add a liquid bronzer like Cover FX’s Custom Enhancer Drops ($42.00, Sephora.com) to get the metallic finish.
