The 61st annual Grammys passed and singer Alicia Keys hosted in all of her bare-faced beauty. Keys has often been seen without makeup since a 2016 statement celebrating her right to uncover and embrace all sides of herself. While the singer is by no means against makeup, many of us have been watching and clapping as she hits red carpets, events, and even magazine and album covers all without the full-face glam we’re so used to seeing on celebrities. The catch? Her skin is nearly perfect. Whether you prefer to keep it bare or glam it up, one thing is for certain: we all want great skin. Check out this gallery of five serums that will help you serve clear complexion realness like Alicia Keys.

URBAN SKIN RX SUPER C BRIGHTENING SERUM

Urban Skin Rx has been my go-to when it comes to skincare. If you’re looking to add some life into dull skin, try the Urban Skin Rx Super C Brightening Serum ($58.00, urbanskinrx.com). I just finished a full bottle of this, which is saying something coming from a certified product-junkie. A few drops of this rubbed into my face after cleansing and I notice a more even skin tone and faded blemish marks. If you struggle with dark marks from acne or sun spots, the 20% ascorbic acid, ferulic acid, and kojic acid in this serum will do the trick.

OLEHENRIKSEN TRUTH SERUM

Try the Olehenriksen Truth Serum ($48.00, sephora.com) if you’re trying to age gracefully. There’s nothing wrong with getting older and wiser, but we don’t necessarily want our age to be written on our faces. The Vitamin C and collagen in this serum give skin a boost of firmness and elasticity. My skin always feels so supple and buoyant whenever I use this.

SUNDAY RILEY C.E.O. RAPID FLASH BRIGHTENING SERUM

The Sunday Riley C.E.O. Rapid Flash Brightening Serum ($85.00, sephora.com) comes at a pretty hefty price tag, but for all the benefits, you’re getting a whole lot of bang for that buck. Vitamin C fights dark spots and other discoloration, giving you a bright, luminous complexion. This baby was so good, it was awarded an Allure magazine Reader’s Choice Award!

FIRST AID BEAUTY FAB SKIN LAB RETINOL SERUM

For my fellow sensitive skin beauty-lovers out there, we have to be careful when we’re experimenting with new products. Especially when it comes to skincare that can carry chemicals and strong ingredients, it’s great to be cautious. If your skin is finicky, try the First Aid Beauty FAB Skin Lab Retinol Serum ($58.00, sephora.com). This vegan serum is suitable for all skin-types and is comprised of what the brand calls their “Skin Saver Complex.” Composed of aloe, colloidal oatmeal, Vitamins C and E, hyaluronic acid and more, this complex helps to balance the retinol so that you can reap the benefits with minimal skin irritation. This serum primarily targets fine lines and wrinkles, and loss of firmness in the skin.

NEUTROGENA HYDROBOOST HYDRATING SERUM

During the winter season we can all use some extra hydration. Neutrogena’s Hydroboost Hydrating Serum ($19.99, ulta.com) is packed with hyaluronic acid which enhances your skin cells’ natural ability to hold moisture. Hydrated skin is of the utmost importance for all skin types, but this one is particularly great for those with dry skin.
