Entrepreneur Discusses the Beverage Business
(Tri-State Defender) — This week we feature the first of a two-segment interview with Carolyn Hardy, President/CEO of Hardy Bottling Company, which is the largest minority, woman-owned contract packaging facility in Tennessee.
Carlee McCullough: What does the business of “bottling” entail?
Carolyn Hardy: We manufacture the liquid. We do all the blending, ensure the quality meets the customers’ specifications, and once we have a perfect liquid, we put it into the package. The package can be a can of Arizona Ice Tea, a glass bottle for Jones Soda, or a plastic bottle of orange juice you see in 7-Eleven.
