Metra to Offer ‘Quiet Cars’ for Riders Who Can’t Stand Cell Chatter
(Chicago Sun Times) — Sometimes, it’s fun to hear one end of a phone conversation. Bob Newhart made some great bits out of this. Just last week, I heard this intriguing line from a guy on a cell phone, “So, when you have the wedding rehearsal dinner at a taco place, I mean, what did they EXPECT was going to happen?”But most of the time, it’s a drag to have to listen to people chattering about their mother-in-law or the Perkins account while you’re trying to read a book on the commute home.
