(Chicago Sun Times) — Gov. Quinn is reminding delinquent taxpayers that they have until Nov. 8 to pay their back taxes without penalty or interest.

Quinn signed a tax amnesty into law earlier this year.

The amnesty allows people who are overdue on taxes over the past eight years to pay up in full before facing doubled penalty and interest payments.

People owing the state any taxes from July 1, 2002 through July 1, 2009 may pay during the amnesty period of Oct. 1 to Nov. 8.
