Obama: GOP Tax Cuts Only help The Rich
(National Post) — Barack Obama sought yesterday to draw a clear line in the heated debate over tax cuts in the U.S. mid-term election campaign, telling voters the choice is between providing help to the richest in America or to the rest of America. Facing the prospect of a US$1.3-trillion budget deficit in fiscal 2010, the U.S. President blasted Republicans for supporting the extension of Bush-era tax cuts for “millionaires and billionaires” who he says won’t spend their savings to stimulate the economy.
