Georgia Women Earn 84% of Males’ Wages
(Atlanta Business Chronicle) — Women in Georgia earned 84 percent of what their male counterparts earned in the Peach State last year, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Wednesday.
In 2009, women who were full-time wage and salary workers in Georgia had median weekly earnings of $664, or about 84 percent of the $789 median for their male counterparts.
