FEMA to Assess Storm Damage
(NYT) — Was the damage wrought by last Thursday’s brief but destructive storm severe enough to earn the city federal disaster dollars?
That is what local and federal disaster specialists will try to figure out Wednesday, when city and state emergency officials will lead a dozen or so representatives of the Federal Emergency Management Agency on a tour of the storm’s path through Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island.
