Magic Johnson’s Company Makes Play for NorthPoint
(Boston Globe) –A real estate investment company backed by former Los Angeles Laker superstar Magic Johnson is hoping to jump-start the long-stalled NorthPoint mixed-use development in East Cambridge. Canyon-Johnson Urban Funds is partnering with Boston’s HYM Investment Group and Atlas Capital Group of New York to develop the 44-acre lot – Cambridge’s largest remaining open parcel.
