Illinois Lottery Hopeful Would Give up to $35M to State Education
(Crain’s) — British lottery firm Camelot Group pledged to donate up to $35 million of its profits to Illinois education if it wins a contract to manage the Illinois Lottery as final bids were filed Friday afternoon.
Camelot and Northstar Lottery Group, a joint venture of incumbent lottery contractors, are vying for the state’s precedent-setting plan to outsource management of its $2.2-billion lottery operation to a private firm.
