Macy Gray: Vanity Is What Made Me Seek Help For Drug Addiction
Just last week we shared an interesting interview from the Wendy Williams show in which Macy Gray talked about her love of penis as well as her love of. We had a chance to catch up with the singer recently as well, and when she stopped by our office we asked Macy what her breaking point was for getting help for her addiction and she told us flatly: “vanity.”
Explaining that she looked “100 years old” due to the dark circles she’d developed around her eyes and her increasingly thinning frame as a result of not eating, Macy said one day she really looked at herself in the mirror and decided, “It just wasn’t the way to roll out.” At that moment, the 51-year-old told us she quit cold turkey and she’s stuck with it ever since.
Check out the video above as Macy Gray talks more about her substance abuse, whether she’ll act again in the near future, and her new album, Ruby, which debuted September 21.
