There are some great catches on reality television. Men who are in touch with their feelings, supportive of their famous partners and patient (sometimes too patient). The Papooses, the Reggie Youngbloods (Tami Roman’s partner) and the Phors of the world. But then there are those guys who, as though the cameras aren’t watching, do the most foolish things. They lie, they cheat, they shift blame and manipulate the women who care for them. It makes for interesting television, but it also makes you shake your head (and like some fans, leave paragraph-long comments on the guy’s social media page).
We know some of the good guys, but who falls under the latter category of piss poor partners? Here are a few we have in mind.

Don
Don of Black Ink Crew: Chicago is a good father and a handsome man. However, he’s a terrible husband to wife, Ashley. He is a habitual cheater who when confronted with his own shenanigans, likes to act like somebody did him wrong.

Stevie J
A man of great talent, Stevie J uses his reputation and history of hits to get women to sign onto his DangerZone label. When they get there, he seduces them into being his Puerto Rican this, Dominican that, all while coming off super controlling. Good luck, Faith. The singer wed Stevie recently, despite the fact that he asked ex Joseline Hernandez to marry him the month prior…

Ray J
Brandy’s brother found his Princess, but that didn’t keep him from interacting inappropriately with women who weren’t his wife, including when she was pregnant. It was enough to get him blasted by her on social media. And when confronted about his behavior, Ray always receives unnecessary support and protection from his mom, Sonja Norwood, and sister, Brandy.
Rich Dollaz
The New York version of Stevie J, Rich Dollaz doesn’t know how not to mix business with pleasure, and leaves many of the women he works with feeling betrayed. His last situationship with married Love and Hip Hop: New York cast member Anais almost tore apart a family (it was her fault more than his, but he was a willing participant in the shenanigans).
Kirk Frost
Nobody went astray on reality TV with more to lose than Kirk Frost. Married to Rasheeda for almost 20 years, he went from being an endearing husband during Season 1 of the show to cheating on her with whomever, whenever (including while she was pregnant), bringing extra children to the relationship.

Van
He might be the smallest man on Black Ink Crew: Chicago, but he has more anger in him than all of the guys put together. When he’s not kicking and flipping over things, Van is screaming at his longtime girlfriend Jen, whom he often suspects has eyes for someone else. The fights have been ugly (enough to get police called), and they’ve been together too long for him to be cursing at and knocking down camera over he said, she said.

BK Brasco
He was a new cast member on the latest season of Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta, but in no time he made a piss poor impression. BK was the new boyfriend of Sierra, who was going through a divorce from Shooter (he cheated with her friend and was alleged to have a child out in the world she didn’t know about). Unfortunately for her though, BK was also accused of cheating with multiple women who could provide proof of his misdeeds. And by the reunion, he was caught on camera feeling up on one of the women, NOT Sierra, like a hidden camera scene out of Maury.

James R.
Men who want the success of the women they date tend to go out of their way to sabotage everything. Love and Hip Hop: New York‘s Mariah Lynn learned that while dating new cast member and singer James R. He butted heads with her Gwinin Entertainment boss DJ Self creating a rift between Self and Mariah. And when James was angry with her because he didn’t feel supported and uplifted, he ran to another woman to star in his music video (Sophia the Body), sabotaging the relationship she was in with boyfriend Jaquae. James was quite messy — so we’re sure he’ll be back next season.
Ryan Henry
We actually like Ryan. And it doesn’t hurt that he’s very easy on the eyes and talented. However, he has been with girlfriend Rachel off and on for 15 years, and they share a son together. If he doesn’t hurry up and put a ring on it already! And after he messed around with former colleague and 9Mag tattoo artist Kat and Rachel still gave him a second chance, she deserves a lot more than just a nice car.
Dr. Gregory Lunceford
Dr. Greg and Quad’s marriage pretty much imploded during the latest season of Married to Medicine, culminating in her filing for divorce after the cameras went away. If it wasn’t bad enough that they couldn’t have mature conversations, he also didn’t support her professional aspirations and reminded her that the clock was ticking for them to have a child. To make matters worse, during the reunion, it came out that he attempted to cheat on Quad and ended up getting blackmailed in the process, and expected her to help him get out of the situation.
Dr. Greg isn’t a bad guy, but it was probably past time for he and Quad to go their separate ways.
