Black Panthers the GOP’s New Willie Horton
(Black America Web) — It seems the GOP just can’t tear itself away from the Willie Horton playbook. Egged on by the 24-hour race-baiting on Fox News, which elevates its anti-Obama agenda by exaggerating the antics of black fringe groups, seven Republican senators have decided that images of the New Black Panther Party can help their cause the way that images of Horton, a furloughed rapist and murderer, helped George H.W. Bush’s presidential campaign against Michael Dukakis in 1988.
