Hospitality Industry Sees Business Travel Rise
(Atlanta Business Chronicle) — Business travelers are back on the road, and Atlanta’s hospitality industry is feeling it. Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines Inc. is adding first-class offerings on 66 regional aircraft beginning this fall, and area hotels began seeing strong growth in business travel reservations in February.
Business travel in the United States is responsible for $246 billion in spending and 2.3 million American jobs, according to the U.S. Travel Association in Washington, D.C., with $100 billion of that spending linked to meetings and events.
