Council to Bar Firms That Scammed City
(Chicago Sun Times) — Guilty until proven innocent. That’s soon to be the standard when it comes to companies accused of defrauding Chicago taxpayers. Emboldened by the city’s $11 million auto body contract with a convicted thief, the City Council’s Budget Committee agreed Tuesday to prohibit scammers from doing business with the city.
