Beyoncé Repped For Curvy Women With Plus-Size Dancers At Coachella

Of all the epic things that occurred during Beyoncé’s two sets at Coachella this weekend and last, you may not have noticed that among the many people she shared the stage with, she allowed curvy women to shine. Of her very many dancers, Bey made sure to include a few plus-size dancers. That includes Noelle Rodriguez, Joré Marshall and a young woman named Amari. The women played an important part throughout the two historic sets, but had the chance to be center stage (Joré and Amari specifically) during Beyonce’s remixed performance of “Baby Boy.” For all of the women, it was an experience never to be forgotten.

“We made HISTORY last night!” wrote Marshall. “3 thickums dancing with the queen @beyonce 😣 such a powerful experience I will never ever forget”:

Not only did Beyoncé rep for HBCUs and Black Greek culture (and really just Black people and history as a whole), but she also made body positivity a priority in her sets, representing for curvy women. This isn’t new for the star, as she’s toured with background singers “The Mamas,” full-figured beauties who’ve been working with the star for years.
