AOL Sells Digital Marketing Unit To Web Panel Firm
(Black Enterprise) —uSamp, a provider of online survey panels, said Thursday it has purchased DMS Insights from Internet company AOL Inc. for an undisclosed sum.DMS, also known as Digital Marketing Services Inc., provides online research services and panels. OL, which separated from Time Warner Inc. last year, also recently sold online social networking site Bebo to private investment firm Criterion Capital Partners LLC for an undisclosed price. Analysts said the sum was likely just a small fraction of the $850 million that AOL paid when it bought Bebo a little more than two years ago.
