We love us and we love to see us showing how much we love each other which is exactly what the scene was like at the Essence Black Women In Hollywood Oscars Luncheon in Beverly Hills yesterday.
This year Essence honored Danai Gurira, Tiffany Haddish, Tessa Thompson, and Lena Waithe at the annual event, but the love extended far beyond the stage with Danai presenting Lupita Nyong’o with cupcakes for her birthday, which is today, Tia Mowry showing off her baby bump, and lots and lots of Wakanda poses. Click through to see all the candid moments and be sure to watch the Black Women In Hollywood Awards ceremony in full when it airs on OWN this Saturday, March 3 at 10 pm.
