More than a few people have been so moved by the film and its representation of African people that they’ve been inspired to create art of their own. A mother and daughter DIY duo who go by the name My Froggy Stuff, created their own Shuri Barbie doll.
My Froggy Stuff are doll crafters who want to take creativity to new levels.
For those of us who grew up playing with Barbie dolls, this is something some of us would have loved to do or have as young girls. If you’re a person, like myself, who was more interested in stories and creativity, you’ll enjoy this process as well. And if you’re into style…you’ll gag.
Really, nothing I could say could prepare you for the brilliance of this creation.
Just know that Froggy recreates Shuri’s braids, her face paint and that white outfit, complete with the mesh.
